Have you ever fucked up at work? I once dropped a knife on a fella's head when I was waitress. He was surprisingly OK about the whole situation and I never got into trouble, but I still feel bad about it.
If you've ever messed up at work, then please, allow me to make you feel better, because whatever error you made, at least you didn't deliver an assault rifle instead of a toy to a kid, did you? This person who works for UPS did, though.
Joel Berman and his wife from Long Island, New York, ordered a toy aeroplane for their six-year-old granddaughter but when the package arrived it was massive. Upon opening it, in front of their kids, they found a semi-automatic rifle, with an extended score, ammo clip and stand. To be fair, they got a bargain, really, because the toy plane probably cost about $15 and this gun would be significantly more expensive.
Joel told CBS New York: "It was not the little Fisher-Price toy we had expected." No shit, Sherlock. "What if someone was having ill-intentions, and thought this was the greatest opportunity to get a weapon like this," he added.
According to the Independent, the couple also found a man's driving licence and a concealed-weapons permit.
A family friend, who I would steer clear of in future tbh, told the paper: "If it came to me I would have thanked Santa Claus for coming early."
UPS has said that it will be investigating how the mix up happened. I just want to see the look on the face of the intended recipient of this gun when he opens his parcel and finds a plastic plane.
