Where is the Safest Place on Earth if a Nuclear War Broke Out?

Where would be the safest place to go if you heard the news that a nuclear bomb exploded in a country next to you?
Russians seem convinced that World War 3 can happen anytime, and for that, there are companies that have already started building bunkers filled with all the essentials that you need for everyday survival. However, the targeted market is only for the super-rich, so what about the rest of us?
According to many Quora users offering many tips, there seems one common agreement — spelling bad news for those living in the Northern Hemisphere. Many users from Quora agreed on the fact that Russia, and many of the European countries along with the Americas, will be turned into a tornup and radioactive post-apocalyptic area where those who might have survived the blast, would end up fighting each other in a constant battle of survival.
It might look like something from World War Z minus the zombies and a bit more destruction.
However, many of the Quora users pointed fingers at the southern island of New Zealand as a livable place that is far enough away. It is also difficult for any nuclear impact to reach it, and finally, no one is going to fight over it, as it has no strategic importance.
According to Peter Baskerville, who is a teacher and one of the top writers in Quora, he says that the southern island is by far one of the nearest habitual places that will be away from the action; and the land is fertile with a supply of fresh water, and it has a decent sized population.
However, many users stated that Perth is a good city to live in, as well, as it is one of the more remote cities in Australia, and on Earth.
According to the Guardian newspaper, Easter Island is one of the safest places too, even though it is situated in the South Pacific, 2000 miles from the South American coastline. However, the Guardian stated that if you’re not a fan of Easter Island, then you can always head to Kiribati or the Marshall Islands. Saying this, according to software that was designed for the Guardian, the software recommended that Antarctica is the safest place to go in the event of a nuclear attack or World War 3.
Getting back to the top part of the world, more than half of the world’s population lives in the northern parts of Earth, thus, things would get a little roasted for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. If a hydrogen bomb were dropped, it would instantly wipe out almost everything within a ten mile radius. And not being the end of it, after wiping out buildings and sending a shock wave across the immediate area hit, people would instantly perish in the kill zone – their skins would melt, the trees around will catch fire and burn, and once the show’s over, those who survived the initial blast will be poisoned by the radioactivity lingering in the environment.
In the late 1970s, the Office of Technology, who reported to Congress in the United States, published a report called The Effects of War. It highlighted the outcomes of a possible all-out nuclear attack. Their research indicated that more than 70% of the American population would indeed be wiped out.

Former WHAM! member George Michael Dead at 53

Former Wham! singer and massively successful soul and pop solo vocalist dies "peacefully at home"
George Michael, the soulful British heartthrob who became a star in the Eighties as half of Wham! before earning critical acclaim as a solo artist, died Sunday at his home in Goring in Oxfordshire, England. The cause of death was heart failure, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Michael was 53.
"Thames Valley Police were called to a property in Goring-on-Thames shortly before 2 p.m. Christmas Day," police said in a statement. "Sadly, a 53-year-old man was confirmed deceased at the scene. At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious."
"It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period," his rep said in a statement.
"The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage."
Michael sold more than 100 million albums throughout his career. Wham! introduced the young American fans who'd loved Duran Duran to a pop sound more indebted to traditional R&B. Michael's subsequent solo career won over many of the same critics and listeners who'd previously dismissed him as a mere teenybop idol. But the singer's career would eventually be derailed for half a decade by legal battles with his label, as he also became known for incidents of actual and alleged public sexuality, and, for the past decade, a series of drug busts.
"I am in deep shock," Elton John wrote on Instagram. "I have lost a beloved friend - the kindest, most generous soul and a brilliant artist. My heart goes out to his family and all of his fans."
"I just saw the sad news about George Michael as I was heading for bed," Queen guitarist Brian May, who worked with the singer on 1992's Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, wrote on his site. "I don’t have the words. This year has cruelly taken so many fine people way too young. And George? That gentle boy? All that beautiful talent? Can't begin to compute this. RIP George. Sing with Freddie. And the Angels."
Michael was born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou in London on June 25th, 1963, the son of a Greek Cypriot restauranteur and an English dancer. He formed Wham! in 1981 with his school friend, Andrew Ridgeley, and the following year the duo's first single, "Young Guns (Go for It!)," released when Michael was just 19, was a smash U.K. hit, reaching Number Three there. Their debut album, Fantastic, served up three more Top Ten hits at home: "Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do)" "Bad Boys" and "Club Tropicana."
"Heartbroken at the loss of my beloved friend Yog," Ridgeley wrote on Twitter. "Me, his loved ones, his friends, the world of music, the world at large. 4ever loved."
International stardom soon followed. The first single from 1984's Make It Big was the energetically swinging "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," which went to Number One on both sides of the Atlantic. The torchy, saxophone-hooked ballad "Careless Whisper" and the desperate and danceable "Everything She Wants" also topped the charts. The group's follow-up, Music From the Edge of Heaven, wasn't the same commercial powerhouse, peaking at Number Ten in the U.S. But by then, Michael already had his eyes on solo success.
The singer’s 1987 solo debut, Faith, offered up a more mature and daring George Michael. "I Want Your Sex" sought to challenge taboos similar to Prince and Madonna, "Father Figure" offered a new depth of soul and the title track was a Bo Diddley-inspired rocker. Faith went to Number One in both the U.S. and UK, selling more than 25 million copies worldwide and winning a Grammy for Album of the Year. (Michael also won a Grammy for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for 1987's "I Knew You Were Waiting (for Me)" with Aretha Franklin.)
Michael distanced himself even further from Wham! with 1990's Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1, a Number Two U.S. album thanks to the somber ballad "Praying for Time" and the searching, funky career retrospective "Freedom '90." The latter video found Michael eschewing the traditional appearance of a singer in a video, opting instead to use supermodels, including Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, lip-syncing the song's lyrics.
Michael was disappointed with sales of Prejudice and sued Sony, claiming his label hadn't done enough to promote him. When the label refused to release his follow-up, Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 2, Michael spent much of the decade out of action musically. He wouldn't release another album until 1996's Older. The album was a respectable success commercially, though failed to reclaim Michael to the superstar level he attained in the Eighties.
In 1998, Michael was arrested by a male undercover police officer for "engaging in a lewd act" in the men's room of a public park in Beverly Hills as part of a sting operation. Michael pleaded no contest, receiving a small fine and a sentence of community service. He would subsequently satirize the incident in his video for the song "Outside," which featured men in police uniforms kissing. In response, the arresting officer, Marcelo Rodriguez, filed a $10 million emotional distress suit against Michael that was eventually tossed out of court.
Following the incident, Michael cleared up the questions about his sexual orientation that had been buzzing since his days in Wham! He came out as gay, and went public about his relationship with Kenny Goss, which had begun in 1996. In 2006, U.K. tabloid stories alleged that Michael cruised for anonymous sex.
Michael responded by noting it was not an issue with his partner and he felt no shame. "I've got no issue with cruising; it is something I have talked abut many times," he told Channel 4 (via Daily Mail). "You can't be [ashamed] about the situation if the person isn't shamed, and I am certainly not that. I should be able to be what I am to young, gay people, which is a man who has succeeded in the industry for 25 years." Michael and Goss would remain together for more than a decade.
Michael’s 1999 album, Songs From the Last Century, only made it to 157 on the Billboard 200. He bounced back in 2004 when Patience debuted at Number One on the UK albums chart and peaked at Number 12, but it would be his last studio album.
In 2006, Michael was arrested for drug possession in London, the first of a string of drug-related run-ins with the law for the singer culminating in a 2010 sentence of eight weeks in prison. (Michael served four weeks.) In 2011, Michael cancelled a concert for a viral infection that turned out to be severe pneumonia.
His most recent release was the 2014 live album, Symphonica, for which Michael collaborated with a symphony. It went gold in the U.K. The BBC reports that Michael was reportedly working on a new album with producer and songwriter Naughty Boy earlier this month. As the New York Times notes, the singer had been planning an expanded reissue of Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 alongside a documentary on his career titled Freedom.
Michael remained confident and defiant throughout his career. "I don’t want any children; I don’t want responsibility," he told Time Out in 2007. "I am gay, I smoke weed and I do exactly what I want in my life because of my talent."

Drunk Man Makes Love With Snowman; Loses Johnson To Frostbite

Quebec, Canada. A 64 year-old was rushed into Centre hospitalier de l’Université Laval at the weekend with a most unusual medical complaint. He had frostbite of the PENIS after getting drunk and trying to have sex with a SNOWMAN.
Kenneth Gillespie is known to locals as a drunk and a bit of a lecherous type, but this latest episode has had dire consequences. He was found passed out clutching onto his frozen junk by neighbors at 1.30am on Sunday morning and they called the ambulance straight away.
The doctor in charge of Mr. Gillespie, Dr. Marc Arnadeu said this to a local TV news crew: “Frostbite of that area may sound funny but it is very serious indeed. Frostbite, of course, can cause infection and gangrene and ultimately this has led to Mr. Gillespie’s member being amputated. It’s very sad.”
The snowman is thought to be okay, though. It’s since been rebuilt and cleaned.
Some in Gillespie’s neighborhood are less than pleased, though. One told the Montreal Gazette this: “If that dirty sonofabitch comes back here after what he did, I won’t be responsible for the reaction of the community.”
“Several people have already vowed to dismember him after what he did to the kids’ snowman. He left a pile of empty bottles, a wrecked snowman and a trail of frozen man-juice in the middle of the community recreation ground. This bastard’s worse than Bill Cosby.”
Gillespie is thought to be recovering with friends in a nearby town and could not be contacted. It’s thought that he’s planning to move down to Mexico to warmer climes once he recovers and plans to have a bionic p*nis built with his savings.

Expert Confirms Aluminium Does Cause Alzheimer’s

A link between aluminium and Alzheimer’s disease has existed for years, but  many scientists have said there is not enough evidence to blame the metal, used by thousands for everyday purposes to cook and store food.
However, Chris Exley, a professor in bioinorganic chemistry based at Keele University in England says that his latest research confirms it does indeed play a role in cognitive decline.

The Mail Online reports:
Here, in a piece for medical-blogging website The Hippocratic Post, he reveals the findings from his latest study.
There has been a strong link between human exposure to aluminium and the incidence of Alzheimer’s disease for half a century or more.
However, without definite proof, there is still no consensus in the scientific community about the role of this known neurotoxin in this devastating brain disease.
The latest research from my group, published in the Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology, makes this link even more compelling.
In my view, the findings are unequivocal in their confirmation of a role for aluminium in some if not all Alzheimer’s disease.
At the very least, these new results should encourage everyone and even those who have steadfastly maintained that aluminium has no role in the disease to think again.
I don’t believe that is the only factor, but I think it is an important one which should be considered very seriously.
When our new results are put into the context of what is already known about aluminium and Alzheimer’s disease their significance becomes overwhelming and compelling.
We already know that the aluminium content of brain tissue in late-onset or sporadic Alzheimer’s disease is significantly higher than is found in age-matched controls.
So, individuals who develop Alzheimer’s disease in their late sixties and older also accumulate more aluminium in their brain tissue than individuals of the same age without the disease.
Even higher levels of aluminium have been found in the brains of individuals, diagnosed with an early-onset form of sporadic Alzheimer’s disease, who have experienced an unusually high exposure to aluminium through the environment or through their workplace.
This means that Alzheimer’s disease has a much earlier age of onset, for example, fifties or early sixties, in individuals who have been exposed to unusually high levels of aluminium in their everyday lives.
We now show that some of the highest levels of aluminium ever measured in human brain tissue are found in individuals who have died with a diagnosis of familial Alzheimer’s disease.
The levels of aluminium in brain tissue from individuals with familial Alzheimer’s disease are similar to those recorded in individuals who died of an aluminium-induced encephalopathy while undergoing renal dialysis.
In support of our quantitative data, we have also used a recently developed and fully validated method of fluorescence microscopy to provide stunning and unequivocal images of aluminium in brain tissue from familial Alzheimer’s disease donors.
Familial Alzheimer’s disease is an early-onset form of the disease with first symptoms occurring as early as 30 or 40 years of age.
It is extremely rare, perhaps 2-3 per cent of all cases of Alzheimer’s disease.
Its bases are genetic mutations associated with a protein called amyloid-beta, a protein which has been heavily linked with the cause of all forms of Alzheimer’s disease.
Individuals with familial Alzheimer’s disease produce more amyloid beta and the onset of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease are much earlier in life.
This new research may suggest that these genetic predispositions to early onset Alzheimer’s disease are linked in some way to the accumulation of aluminium in brain tissue.
Ageing is the main risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease and aluminium accumulates in human brain tissue with ageing.
Environmental or occupational exposure to aluminium results in higher levels of aluminium in human brain tissue and an early onset form of sporadic Alzheimer’s disease.
The genetic predispositions which are used to define familial or early-onset Alzheimer’s disease also predispose individuals to higher levels of brain aluminium at a much younger age.
Aluminium is accepted as a known neurotoxin, for example being the cause of dialysis encephalopathy, and its accumulation in human brain tissue at any age can only contribute to any ongoing disease state or toxicity.
We should take all possible precautions to reduce the accumulation of aluminium in our brain tissue through our everyday activities and we should start to do this as early in our lives as possible.

Large Wave of Energy From Unknown Source Hitting Earth Now! WARNING

A large wave of energy impacting the entire planet has UNINTENTIONALLY been detected by the MIMIC TPW microwave background imagery. Currently ONGOING as of 12/19/2016 at 1:20am US central time)
link to see the event here:
This is not a glitch, computer error, or fake — unless someone at the University decided to fake data for some reason.
The energy spans the planet on both (all) sides over several hours time. This wave of energy started to form on 12/18 at about 15:00UTC, and is currently ongoing.
A check of the X-ray flux monitors from GOES shows low activity, minor solar winds, no major solar storms, Total Electron Content in the ionosphere shows “minimal”…. thus the source / cause of this event is still “unknown”.
If this “event” really occurred (if it’s “real”) then we’re looking at a huge amount of energy impacting the planet causing a planet wide microwave return going off the scales.
Microwaves convert to DC energy in a natural “rectenna” process when the waves become trapped in the Earth’s magnetosphere– the radio waves convert to DC power, and are taken to ground. Ground ultimately being the core of the Earth.
If the event is really occurring, then the potential amount of energy going to the core of the planet would be tremendous — this of course could increase volcanic activity, and cause large earthquakes.
I don’t know what to make of this — this is the first time I’ve ever seen something this large over such a vast area show up on MIMIC like this. Keep watch — the next week may tell the tale on what happens (if anything) from this strange event.

Court Rules Police Can Legally Execute Your Dog if It Does Anything But Sit Silently

The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit concluded Monday that police officers are justified in killing citizens’ pets — even if those animals are not attacking or attempting to attack them.

Judges MOORE and CLAY (Circuit Judges), and HOOD (District Judge) heard an appeal from the plaintiffs Mark and Cheryl Brown, of Battle Creek, Michigan. The Browns filed a lawsuit against the BATTLE CREEK Police Department, the City of Battle Creek, and officers Jeffrey Case, Christof Klein, and Damon Young for the death of their beloved dogs at the hands of sadistic cops.
The incident occurred on April 17th, 2013, when police were attempting to execute a search warrant on the home where the Browns were living because a police informant reported another man, Vincent Jones was distributing heroin, cocaine, and marijuana from the residence. Jones was apprehended before police arrived on the scene.
Mark Brown, who was not a suspect in the search, had gone home on his lunch break to let out his two pit bulls. After doing so, he locked the door and headed back to work when police arrived and detained him. He told them he had a key, and that they didn’t need to destroy the front door to gain entry into the home. But destroy it they did.
The Browns dispute the claims by police that the dogs were barking. Mark Brown even testified the smaller of the two dogs had “never barked a day in her life.” Officer Klein said the larger dog was barking and “lunged” at him, but later admitted the pet “had only moved a few inches.”
Despite there being no attack, Klein fired a round at the dog. Both dogs ran away from the officers to the basement, obviously fleeing in fear. There, the two dogs were shot and killed by the officers who felt that they could not properly clear the room and effectively execute the search warrant on the home, explaining they “did not feel [the officers] could safely clear the basement with those dogs down there.”
Going further, the officers stated the “basement was loaded. You’ve gotta look under beds, you’ve gotta do everything, and [the dogs] basically prevented us from doing that, and they were protecting that basement.” Klein testified the smaller pit bull was “just standing there” when it was shot and killed.
In spite of these sadistic admissions, the appellate court ruled in favor of the officers, the police department, and the other defendants. They agreed with the lower court ruling that the police officers were covered under “doctrine of qualified immunity” and were therefore not liable for compensating the plaintiffs in the case.
The precedent has now been set. Cops can legally kill your dogs for the sole act of being a dog. If your dog moves, it is dead. If your dog barks, it is dead. If your dog does anything but sit silently in the other room, it is dead. However, as the above case illustrates, even if they are silent in the other room, police can still kill them — just to make their search for arbitrary substances deemed illegal by the state — that much easier.

Neuroscientists Discover A Song That Reduces Anxiety By 65 Percent

Anxiety — that feeling of dread, fear, worry and panic — is certainly nothing new. Hippocrates wrote about it in the fourth century BCE. As did Søren Kierkegaard in the 1860s. And Sigmund Freud addressed the disorder in 1926.
However, jump to the present and we’re seeing a significant uptick — especially with youth.
http://adf.ly/1h2CLV tend to be the classic treatment for treating anxiety (as well as the biggest money maker). Cognitive therapy is a common approach as well. Those with a holistic bent often turn to meditation, yoga, massage and other relaxation techniques. Music therapy has also been used with some success. But now neuroscientists in the U.K. have zeroed in on a single song that results in a dramatic 65 percent reduction in overall anxiety…

ANXIETY AND GENERATION Y

A 2013 survey found that 57 percent of American female university students reported episodes of “overwhelming anxiety.” And in the United Kingdom, the charity YouthNet discovered a third of young women — and one in ten young men — suffer from panic attacks.
Marjorie Wallace, CEO of the charity Sane, believes that generation Y (those born in the 1980s and 1990s) is the age of desperation. “Growing up has always been difficult, but this sense of desperation? That’s new,” she says.
Writes Rachael Dove in Anxiety: the epidemic sweeping through Generation Y:
“So, what’s going on? The rise of technology, overly-protective parenting and “exam-factory” schooling are among the reasons psychologists suggest for our generational angst. Another, brought up on multiple occasions by my peers and by psychologists I spoke to, is the luxury (as ungrateful as it sounds) of too much choice.”
Pieter Kruger, a London-based psychologist, says research indicates that people who feel they don’t have a choice are actually more resilient — mainly because they can blame life or others if they make a wrong decision. However, if you have a range of choices, you have no one to blame but yourself. “We become much more obsessive because we want to make the right decision every time,” he says.
Writer Claire Eastham, 26, agrees on her blog We Are All Mad Here:
“I spend a lot of time worrying about what I am going to do with my life. Previous generations had choice taken out of their hands. If you are told what to do it takes the pressure away.”
In our modern era, decision making can trigger a type of paralysis. Often, we will obsessively research the many different options for, say, a pair of shoes. Eventually, information overload will kick in and shut the whole shopping venture down, leaving us exhausted and guilty for being crippled by such a seemingly simple task.
Technology also contributes to the rise of anxiety. A good number of millennials feel exposed without their smartphones — and are rarely without them. Mobile gadgets tend to be their window to the world and foster a sense of connectedness. But there’s a dark side to feeling the need to keep on top of what everyone is doing on social media — otherwise known as Fomo, or the Fear of Missing Out.
“Fomo is very real and can be a constant addiction that affects anxiety levels and a general sense of wellbeing,” says Kruger.
Social media allows us to compare everything — relationships, diet, figure, beauty, wealth, standard of living — not only with our friends, but with celebrities too. And, as research has shown, time on social media “can cause depression in people who compare themselves with others.”
Besides revamping our lifestyles and limiting exposure to social media — and learning to work with a sometimes overwhelming abundance of choice — neuroscientists have found listening to a specially designed song can have a profound influence over our levels of anxiety.

THE CREATION OF THE ULTIMATE ANTI-STRESS MUSIC

Researchers at Mindlab International in the U.K. wanted to know what kind of music induces the greatest state of relaxation. The study involved having participants try to solve difficult puzzles — which inherently triggered a certain degree of stress — while connected to sensors. At the same time, participants listened to a range of songs as researchers measured their brain activity, heart rate, blood pressure and rate of breathing.
What they found is that one song — “Weightless” — resulted in a striking 65 percent reduction in participants’ overall anxiety, and a 35 percent reduction in their usual physiological resting rates.
Interestingly, the song was specifically designed to induce this highly relaxed state. Created by Marconi Union, the musicians teamed up with sound therapists to carefully arrange harmonies, rhythms and bass lines, which in turn slow a listener’s heart rate and blood pressure, while also lowering stress hormones like cortisol.
In fact, the music is so effective, that many of the female participants became drowsy — to the point where lead researcher Dr. David Lewis-Hodgson advises against listening to it while driving.
But don’t take their word for it. Experience it for yourself here:

Couple Married For 64 Years Die Within Hours Of Each Other

Despite what celebrity marriages may have taught us - true love is out there.
Take this couple, Dolores Winstead, 83 and her husband Trent, 88, from Tennessee. As they were approaching their 64th wedding anniversary, Trent became very ill. He was admitted to Saint Thomas West Hospital after suffering kidney failure but his condition rapidly deteriorated.
Dolores, who was healthy as she stood at his bedside, suffered a brain aneurysm as she watched her husband dying.
The hospital put their beds next to each other, and they held hands in the hour prior to their deaths.
On December 9, at 9:10pm, Dolores passed away. Their son, Eddie, leaned over and told Trent that she'd passed on. He then blew her a kiss and died a few hours later.
Their daughter, Sheryl, told the Washington Post: "Because she was gone, he just could not handle it. We just watched him die.
"I hadn't thought about it this way at the time. (He) literally, he died of a broken heart.
"Never in a million years did I think I was going to come out of the hospital with neither one."
Absolutely tragic.

Punk Amazonian Tribe Captured In Pictures

Thought to be living the same way as they did 20,000 years ago, National Geographic has released amazing photographs of a punk Amazonian tribe, courtesy of photographer Ricardo Stuckert.
Punkesque hair, plus their scantily clad bodies, habit of throwing things at planes and the fact that they have lived in isolation for tens of thousands of years have caught everyone's imaginations.

Although it's rumoured the tribe has been stealing axes and metal from villages since 1910 - they've never really made contact with anyone. The Brazilians don't even know what the tribe calls itself and so refer to them as the "isolated Indians of the upper Humaitá."
The tribe are living a Neolithic way of life - they live in communal huts, are partial to a bit of nudity and body paint. It is believed to be the same tribe first seen in 2008. Then the tribesman were caught on camera in red body paint, throwing arrows at a plane.
Experts believe the tribe moves around every four years. With a population of 300, they're pretty healthy, living off what they can find in the dense Amazon jungle - mainly corn and bananas.
Brazilian photographer Ricardo Stuckert took the iconic shot by chance when his chopper was diverted due to bad weather. He was travelling across his native Brazil, documenting the many tribes that live in the Amazon. He discovered the punk tribe by chance when they attacked his helicopter.
"I felt like I was a painter in the last century," he said. "To think that in the 21st century, there are still people who have no contact with civilisation, living like their ancestors did 20,000 years ago - it's a powerful emotion." The tribe is under threat - just like the Amazon jungle itself - from illegal logging crews, drug traffickers and gold prospectors, even if they're not aware themselves of the danger. Stuckert warns that the tribe could be wiped off the face of the planet - and we wouldn't even know.

MEDIA 3 Ex-NASA Scientists Claim The Giant Face & Pyramid Found on Mars in 1976 Are Actually Real

In 1976, the United States sent a pair of space probes, known as Viking 1 and Viking 2, to Mars.
Viking 1 was launched on August 20th, 1975, and Viking 2 was launched in September of the same year. Both probes photographed the surface of Mars from orbit, and one studied the planet from the surface. The first one touched down on the surface of Mars on July 20th, 1976 and the second a couple of months later. The main objectives of the mission were to obtain high-resolution images of Mars, to look for any evidence of life, and to learn more about the structure and composition of the atmosphere.

As Viking 1 spacecraft was circling the planet, it spotted the shadowy likeness of a human face. An enormous head nearly two miles from end to end seemed to be staring back at the cameras from a region of the Red Planet called Cydonia. A pyramid structure was also seen. This will be the main topic of this article.
As a quick side note here, for years we’ve been made to believe that Mars is a dry and arid planet, completely devoid of life, but that’s just not the case. Mars actually used to be an Earth-like planet, with giant oceans and extensive greenery. The soil is moist and wet, and there is a very high likelihood that some type of life exists within the interior of Mars today. You can watch that full press conference HERE.
The question to ask here is, did NASA know this information from the Viking data in 1976? According to multiple insiders who have worked for the agency, NASA is not always honest, and we are only being told this now because they believe we are ready to process and accept these facts. For example, Bob Dean, a retired United States Army Command Sergeant Major who also served at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) of NATO as an intelligence analyst, gave a lecture on footage and photos that had been erased and kept hidden for decades:
Ladies and gentlemen, my government, NASA, which many of us in the United States say stands for Never A Straight Answer, proceeded to erase 40 rolls of film of the Apollo Program — the flight to the Moon, the flight around the Moon, the landings on the Moon, the walking guys here and there. They erased, for Christ’s sake, 40 rolls of film of those events. Now we’re talking about several thousand individual frames that were taken that the so-called authorities determined that you did not have a right to see. Oh, they were ‘disruptive,’ ‘socially unacceptable,’ ‘politically unacceptable.’ I’ve become furious. I’m a retired Command Sergeant Major. I was never famous for having a lot of patience.
You can watch the full lecture HERE.
He is one of multiple people accusing NASA of doing this. The Russian government did the same last year. You can read more about that here

THE GIANT FACE AND PYRAMID ON MARS

.Above, you’ll see the original picture taken by Viking which, as you can imagine, created quite the buzz when the world got to see it.
Above you can see a closeup of the face, as well as a pyramid in close proximity, taken by Viking.
you will see the original picture taken by NASA, straight from their website in 1976. Above the picture to your left and right you will see three different images which, according to NASA, are clearer versions of  the pictures taken with improved instruments. In their original caption of the picture, NASA described it as a “huge rock formation . . . which resembles a human head . . . formed by shadows giving the illusion of eyes, nose and mouth.” The authors reasoned it would be a good way to “engage the public and attract attention to Mars.”
Well, according to multiple insiders with extensive backgrounds, this is not the case, and NASA lied about the images and data they collected, as well as fudged data and images. Based on these testimonies,  among others, the photos released in 1998 and 2001 were meant to debunk rumours and put the issue to rest.

THE SCIENTISTS

Dr. John Brandenburg
The picture above, which includes the pyramid, was taken from a lecture given by Dr. John Brandenburg (at the 26:46 mark). Any scientist who publicly shares information that challenges commonly held belief systems, as well as what’s been put out by mainstream media, will always come under public scrutiny and ridicule. But when you have worked on space plasma technologies, nuclear fusion, and advanced space propulsion, and invented the Microwave Electro-Thermal plasma thruster using water propellant for space propulsion, you deserve to be taken seriously.
This is the case with Dr. John Brandenburg. He has also worked for the government with top-secret security clearances on various projects. He worked on the Rocket Plume Regolith Interactions on the Moon and Mars, Vortex theory of Rocket engine design, and the combined Sakharov-Kaluza-Klein theory of Field Unification for purposes of space propulsion and Mars science.
Brandenburg was also the Deputy Manager of the Clementine Mission to the Moon, which was part of a joint space project between the Ballistic Missile Defence Organization (BMDO) and NASA. The mission discovered water at the Moon’s poles in 1994. (Source: page 16 of 18)(source)(source)
He currently works as a consultant to Morningstar Applied Physics. Here is one of his latest research endeavours. Brandenburg also works as a part time instructor of astronomy, physics, and mathematics at Madison College, and other learning institutions in Madison, Wisconsin.
Here’s what he had to say:
“Someone complained to me, John, why do you have to bring Cydonia into this? And I said, because I can read a map. . . . Here’s what’s at Cydonia Mensa. There’s the face on Mars, there’s the D & M pyramid. . . . Here it is in a second shot, this was taken July 25th, this was taken 30 days later, the government was apparently doing a follow-up investigation. These two pictures (pictures above to your left) tell you everything you need to know about what’s at Cydonia Mensa (region of Mars). If you see on a planet that used to be Earth-like, a carved human face and a pyramid within 5 km of each other . . . it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what this all means, you can connect the dots. . . . I mean sometimes, and I can tell you as a scientist and I’ve seen other scientists do this, if you’re cornered, you’re just brazing it out, you hold up a picture of a buffalo and insist that it’s a dog.

Dr Brain O’Leary
Dr. Brian O’Leary was a NASA astronaut, and a member of the sixth group of astronauts selected by NASA in 1967. After this, he was recruited by Carl Sagan to teach at Cornell University in the late 1960s, where he researched and lectured in the Department of Astronomy and Physics. After Cornell, he taught physics, astronomy, and science policy assessment at various academic institutions, including the University of California Berkeley, Hampshire College, and finishing off at Princeton University from 1976 to 1981. After that, he went on to Washington, where he would become an advisor to various political leaders, presidential candidates, and the United States Congress. O’Leary was also a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, as well as secretary of the American Geophysical Union’s Planetology Section. Furthermore, he was the team leader of the Asteroidal Resources Group for NASA’s Ames Summer Study on Space Settlements. He was a founding board member of the International Association for New Science as well as founding president of the New Energy Movement.
O’Leary was always skeptical about Mars, and there are several others within these circles who were as well. I will be focusing on three.
He had some interesting things to say during a live interview with Kerry Cassidy of Project Camelot (view full live interview here, read transcript of video here). O’Leary and Carl Sagan were close for a number of years, but had a falling out when O’Leary decided to leave Cornell.
In the interview, he remarked: “It was… One very cold snowy day in May, I landed in Syracuse, and there was a horizontal blizzard — in May — and I said: That’s it for upstate New York. And Carl thought that was very frivolous. Because, of course, he was kind of an empire-builder kind of guy; and he also had a huge ego.”
After he left, O’Leary started to examine some of Carl’s work. He said that the famous “Face” in Cydonia on Mars — photographed by Viking in 1975, this enormous formation (about a mile across) resembled a human face and created a major buzz at the time — was tampered with by Sagan before being released to the public: “It was very, very disappointing to me, because not only was Carl wrong, he also fudged data. He published a picture of the ‘Face’ in Parade Magazine, a popular article, saying that the ‘Face’ was just a natural formation, but he doctored the picture to make it not look like a face.”
At this time, Sagan and O’Leary were arguably the world’s two leading experts on Mars, and they entered into many disagreements over that face. This rift was made clear in O’Leary’s publication in 1998, “Carl Sagan & I: On Opposite Sides of Mars.” It can be found in The Case for the Face: Scientists Examine the Evidence for Alien Artifacts on Mars, eds. Stanley V. McDaniel and Monica Rix Paxson. Kempton, IL: Adventures Unlimited Press.
In May of 1990, O’Leary released a paper titled Analysis of Images of the Face on Mars and Possible Intelligent Origin” which only further demonstrated his skepticism. It was published in the Journal of the British Interplanetary Society, Vol.43 No.5.
O’Leary also went on the record and stated:
I began to realize, just directly from the scientific point of view, not only hearsay, that this man was colluding with NASA, that there might be more to this than before. . . . Carl was on a committee with a number of notable people. There was a report issued by the Brookings Institution in 1961 — and that’s about when I knew Carl, during those years; the ’60s mostly was when I worked closely with him — that he and this other group said: Well, if any ETs ever showed up on the Earth, it has to be covered up. That’s the only way we’re going to be able to manage this, because if we can’t, then it would be too much of a culture shock.
Quite a shocking statement from someone of Brian’s stature, isn’t it? In the interview, he goes on to say that Carl and his colleagues recommended that the governments cover up the UFO phenomenon, and that he believes this provided justification for the ongoing coverup.
When it comes to Mars, as mentioned earlier in the article, Sagan was a big debunker of the face, publishing multiple works stating that it was not a face, there were no pyramids, and that these are all the stuff of conspiracy theories.
What’s interesting here is that not only does O’Leary mention Sagan and his relationship with him, but so does Dr. John Brandenburg. In the lecture he gave, cited earlier in the article, Brandenburg also mentions that he was in contact with Sagan, that he sent Sagan the images of Mars with an analysis of the Face and Pyramids, and that it was clear that that’s what they were. The response from Sagan to Brandenburg? “I never received them.”
Dr. Norman Burgrun
A mechanical engineer, Dr. Bergrun has worked for Ames Research Laboratory, NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics), and Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, now known as Lockheed Martin. He then went on to found Bergrun Engineering and Research. Obviously, he is another qualified individual with an impressive background. You can view some of his publications for NASA, where he worked for more than a decade, here.
In THIS interview, Bergrun accuses that agency of “garbling” photos and fudging data, as well as the face that was found in Mars in 1976.

WHAT DOES THIS TELL US AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

We live in an age where more and more people are waking up to the secrecy that plagues our planet. Ten years ago, if you were to mention that we are being ‘watched’ through various high tech means, it would have been unbelievable, but thanks to people like Edward Snowden, we know this to be true.
It’s unfortunate to realize that so many facts about our world are kept hidden from us, supposedly for the sake of ‘national security,’ but it’s quite evident that there are also special interests at stake, and secrecy is used to preserve and uphold these interests, whatever they may be.
Today we have many whistleblowers with verified credentials from various agencies and branches of government who are spilling the beans on several different topics, as well as other evidence to corroborate and back up what the say. Our website is full of examples; the ones presented in this article represent just a select few.
While witness testimony is not always deemed credible, when you have up to, arguably, more than one thousand qualified people coming forward, it becomes difficult to ignore.
Today, in 2016, it’s important to keep an open mind, because information will keep emerging that threatens the belief systems of many. Too often we completely shut down any chance of even entertaining this type of information, and that’s done out of fear. When we’ve been shielded from the truth for so long it can indeed be scary, and sometimes downright unbelievable, to wake up to the truth.
Secrecy is a great way for the establishment to keep us in line and prevent the human race from growing, expanding, and exploring, but our consciousness is shifting. We are becoming more aware, more curious, and more passionate about creating a better human experience for the entire race. We are constantly distracted with our own lives, trying to put food on the table and make it through another work week, having our minds, thoughts, and wants programmed into our brains through mass marketing, but many people are no longer resonating with this type of human experience.
It’s time to start asking the bigger questions. It’s time for the human race to leave its infancy and grow into adulthood, and transparency is the first step. Proper progress cannot be made if a civilization tries to move forward blindly, unconscious of the true nature of reality.
